Fishing on the Skellig Coast

Cahersiveen is on the Iveragh Peninsula in the far south-west of Ireland. It is on the Ring of Kerry and the Wild Atlantic Way. From the pier it is a short run down the river into Valentia Harbour and out to the open Atlantic.

This is one of the best parts of Ireland for sea angling. Deep water lies close to the coast, and the mild Atlantic climate keeps the fishing going for much of the year. The scenery is not bad either.

If you are staying a few days, there is plenty to see and do. Here is a bit more about the places you will see from the boat and the area around it.
